  6. P2P в РФ: почему нужна система, а не протокол

    Важное уведомление Данная статья носит исключительно информационный и исследовательский характер. Все приведённые материалы предназначены для обсуждения архитектуры распределённых систем, образовательных целей и анализа технологий повышения устойчивости P2P-сетей к цензуре. Автор не распространяет готовые средства обхода блокировок и не призывает к их использованию. Любые практические реализации, описанные в статье, являются гипотетическими и требуют от пользователя самостоятельной оценки соответствия законодательству своей страны. Ответственность за применение полученных знаний лежит исключительно на пользователе. Возможно, ни одна из описанных технологий не нова. Но их сочетание — с учётом российских реалий (CGNAT, DPI, белые списки) — представляет собой, насколько я вижу, ещё не реализованный на практике open-source проект. Приглашаю сообщество проверить эту гипотезу вместе.

    > to stabilize p2p primitives before they get open sourced

    This one would be more convincing ... If it wasn't for the fact that Keet is based on Pear, which is already published;

    github.com/holepunchto/pear

    Pear is in turn based on HyperCore/ DAT, which is too;

    github.com/holepunchto/hyperco

    Hypercore is part of DAT which is a documented open protocol;

    dat.foundation/about/foundatio

    So the "primitives" are already out there.

  14. Why the #OMN works with #ActivityPub – And why we need a bridge to #p2p

    Let's look at this. #ActivityPub is not a product. It’s not even really a “protocol” in the narrow, rigid sense that vertical tech likes to imagine. ActivityPub is a shared vocabulary, a public language for moving meaning and connection across the #openweb. It gives you nouns and verbs, and the community defines the grammar through lived use. This is why the #OMN works with ActivityPub, a metadata and meaning layer, not a platform, flows, not silos. ActivityPub is the widely deployed […]

  22. Tried out the new #bare runtime on Android. Sadly I'm running into issues getting their native modules to load. Apparently there was a fix a few weeks ago but maybe I'm still missing some sort of update in the stack. 🤷 Hopefully I can get it working and get #hypercore into #agregore mobile before localfirstconf next month.

  28. Made a demo getting #hypercore working in the latest stable #Godot release and I'm really happy with how the API is looking so far.

    Next I'll mess more with getting hyper-sdk to run on the Bare runtime so I can get it into @agregore on Android

  35. For anyone curious, here's the code. It uses the new "Node SEA" method for single executible binaries but with some hacks to get native modules bundled statically and getting it to work with #hypercore This will be the foundation of the new version of HyperGodot.
