🎄☕ Social cocooning—the new desire for cultivated solitude

For some, #Christmas with its social excesses suddenly becomes a burden.

#SocialCocooning—voluntary retreat, conscious #solitude.

Being alone is no longer a flaw, but a trend that combines comfort, reflection, and mental relaxation.

Between #hyggelig and #JOMO, a space is created where you can find peace and rediscover the true meaning of Christmas.

Falls du schon in #Vorbereitung des #Silvesterabend|s in gemütlicher Runde bist, habe ich möglicherweise eine Anregung für dich -- sobald das #Käsekoma vom #Raclette nachlässt 🙃

Woke up at 4:30am to howling #blizzard winds.

Made some #sleepytime tea with the #LemonBalm I've been #overwintering in my living room.

Grateful for #Hyggelig comforts even when #sleep is short....

This is the scene right now in my living room. I've got jazzy music playing on the TV. It shows a cozy winter scene, or hyggelig as the Norwegians would say.

Actually, given that the bathtub is outside, that's probably some Scandinavian scene.

(Joking!)

Maddox is now sleeping in his cat bed, next to me.

The only thing I miss right now is hot chocolate. I probably finished it before I moved in here last May. I may have some Nutella later.

Is this maybe a subset¹ of what Danes call '#hyggelig'?

¹ …maybe a subset: I'm unsure if 'hyggelig' requires the presence of at least one other person.
