Looking through photos and came across this from a trip we took down the Oregon coast highway. If anything is magical this would be it. A woman killed on #OregonCoast #Hwy101 yesterday across from #LincolnCityCityHall & McKays grocery was reportedly the wife of a McKays employee. She was using a #microMobility device, with a USPS van onscene. One passerby inexplicably stereotyped the #bicycle saying, "Looks like a homeless person." The husband was there & yelled, "Don't you stop!" as medics ended CPR. Drivers regularly speed here & #LincolnCityOR persists in neglecting to hold & hear a #BicycleAdvisoryCommittee. #TrafficViolence

Lincoln City, OR: Tuesday, a 62 yr old man #crashed a Toyota #SUV up onto the #Hwy101 #sidewalk into a power pole & pizza restaurant. Police did not issue a citation, reporting, "it appears the driver had a medical emergency causing the crash."
Importantly, crashes like this may be reduced—or crash damages recovered—if #OregonHouseBill #HB2316 passes. The bill closes a drug loophole, expanding the definition of intoxicants to include any substance that impairs driving, for ex, muscle relaxers.
