How does one prepare for "explosive" intensification?
"#Otis had a very unexpected #RapidIntensification phase on Tuesday: Otis was a tropical storm with 70 mph winds at 10 a.m. CDT. Just 13 hours later at 11 p.m. CDT it was a Category 5 with 165 mph winds.
"There are no #hurricanes on record even close to this intensity for this part of #Mexico," the National Hurricane Center said in its Tuesday evening discussion."
