My New Orleans household is doing well post Hurricane Francine. Our power went out about 6:30 p yesterday evening - listening to the news on the wind-up radio this morning was talking about a week to 10 days for power restoration, but we were lucky to have ours pop back on at 9:15 this morning. (Others in the area are not so lucky.)

I'm glad radio WWOZ was able to keep broadcasting (with pre-recorded programs) through the storm. We listened on the wind-up radio while the power was out and the hurricane howled outside. Good radio made the situation much more bearable. Thank you and best wishes to all the WWOZ family!

But garage has unflooded itself, main part of house is dry, & all hummingbirds seem to be accounted for & fueling up> expect them to be able to continue on soon
