  4. Doing a table today for Alumni Weekend at #HumberCollege and yes - those tracks ARE from the same animal. Showing off the difference between beaver front feet and back feet (grippy paws vs splashy-flaps?)

  5. CW: Real animal skull photo

    Eastern Cottontail rabbit skull.

Rabbits and other lagomorphs have an ID feature on their skulls that helps separate them from rodents - "rostral fenestration". This refers to the area of skull in front of the eye socket that looks like latticework.

This skull is one of the many objects on display inside the Centre for Urban Ecology.

  6. Our staff have been hard at "work" testing out board games with ecological concepts and issues built into the game play (later this week we'll be holding our first little trial event for students to come join us). The co-operative game "Endangered" was a big hit, bringing to together office staff, comms staff, and grounds crew to save tigers from extinction!

The delegates are visiting from Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology and The Meru National Polytechnic as part of
Young Africa Works in Kenya-TVET-21 and TVET-23.
