The humble house sparrow is still one of my favourite birds. This family either moved in recently, or they didn't like the food I put up all winter, because it would sit there until it got moldy. Now I have to refill the feeders every day (There's also jackdaws raiding them, lol)

Voor het eerst in 23 jaar staat de huismus niet meer op nummer 1 na de Nationale Tuinvogeltelling. De koolmees voert de lijst nu aan. Waarom er minder huismussen zijn geteld, heeft mogelijk te maken met verstening van tuinen.
