  1. My office hvac is broke. So I am remotely working from the #nyc greenways summit part of my day.

Oh the joy of having the #NYCparks employee literally running from me because they don’t have a plan to fix the #HudsonRiverGreenway which succumbed to years of neglect and extreme rain and now has collapsed in a section.

Now I bike on the #HarlemRiverGreenway — it isn’t far behind in collapsing from extreme rain.

    😭

  2. Just found out that the bike path I use to commute to work has (predictably) partially collapsed.

18 months ago, #nyc parks closed the uppermost part of the #HudsonRiverGreenway for “repairs” to sinkholes. They didn’t repair them. They allowed a contractor to put asphalt across the top. #bike #bikeNYC is broken now uptown.

Grabbed these pics from another group.

  3. @enobacon

About 54s into this vid, there is a brick #bike rumble strip bc its a steep hill & cyclists should slow down.

    #HudsonRiverGreenway #bikeNYC has several:
Near the 79th street boat basin (those actually hurt your brains)
West side of Manhattan #nyc where there are pedestrian Xings

Why aren’t ALL car-street X-walks bounded by these? (Smooth x-walk, maybe elevated like your pic, w bricks on either side.) I bike MUCH slower than the red-light burning #carbrain s

#bikeNYC #bike when there are #greenways no need to battle cars::

    I saw a #WhiteTailedDeer in #Manhattan this am under the #GeorgeWashingtonBridge in #FtWashingtonPark along the #HudsonRiverGreenway

Did the #deer swim or walk across a bridge?

Super neat! 1st time seeing a deer here 🦌

  5. Well, my friend @kevindugan once again shines the light on #NYC #bike #bikenyc infrastructure dysfunction.

    What’s the answer?

Bike paths are vital transportation networks — they deserve consistency of service and quality so folks can rely on bikes for getting to where they need to go.

#NYCParks without capital budget or expertise to maintain bike paths (greenways) should relinquish control of the #HudsonRiverGreenway to #NYCDOT
