  6. On #HuCardHuesday here’s “Victory Run”. This is a 1987 racing game based on the Paris-Dakar Rally, developed & published by #HudsonSoft. Uniquely, the player selects spare parts before the race to be used as parts degrade, adding an element of strategy.

  8. On #HuCardHuesday here’s “Street Fighter II Dash Champion Edition”. This is a 1993 port of #Capcom’s incredibly famous 1992 1-on-1 fighting arcade game. Conversion duties were handled by #NEC Home Electronics Ltd. It’s a remarkably good port for the relatively humble #PCEngine.

  10. On #HuCardHuesday here’s “R-Type I”. This is a 1988 port of #Irem’s 1987 horizontally scrolling shoot-em-up, converted & published by #HudsonSoft. Despite the name, this is only the first 4 levels of the game, with later levels released as “R-Type II”.

  26. On #HuCardHuesday here’s “Side Arms Special”. Surprisingly this 1989 CD-ROM2 based shoot-em-up is a bit of a downgrade from the #HuCard version as it features simpler graphics. It does however add an extra mode which plays slightly differently.
