"Look, Chengzhu and Granduncle are making out," someone in the audience "whispers" loud enough to be heard on the stage.
"I wouldn't call that making out," someone laughs. "They're past that stage."
The singer bravely pushes on.
"I think they forgot they're in public," someone ventures. "Should we tell them?"
They're hastily hushed by the audience members who want to watch /this/ show.
The singer closes their mouth. No one notices the song ending abruptly.
"Will we be dispersed if we end up seeing Granduncle's butt?" someone worries. Murmurs begin among the audience as the citizens of Ghost City discuss the risks of staying.
The singer stomps off stage. Another performance, ruined.

You know, I adore #hualian. I do. And I understand feeling defensive of the main pair, too.
But I am developing a huge soft spot for #huaqing, provided Xie Lian is not hurt or diminished by it (e.g. in AU) or it's the whole dang quartet (I don't like leaving Feng Xin out on his own somehow).
I'm actually the same about #Bingqiu. I love #Liushen, but only if Binghe isn't hurt or diminished by it.
At least there's quite a bit more Liushen out there though! 😂😭

#TGCFCloneWeek - "imperfection"
Hua Cheng pokes at the clone standing before him. He has to get this design right before he wears it to greet Xie Lian! He's erased his various imperfections - his missing eye, his death scar, the way he towers over Xie Lian - but this "San Lang" is still far from ready.
"Fingertips," he orders. The clone obediently shows its hands. Yes, he has unique fingerprints. Just checking.
"Hair," he says. The clone turns around, and Hua Cheng inspects its ponytail. Nothing is out of place or ghost-like.
So why does he still feel unprepared? Or perhaps the better question is: will he ever feel prepared to meet his god?
Hua Cheng sighs and considers starting over.
