#houseofwindsor — Public Fediverse posts

Live and recent posts from across the Fediverse tagged #houseofwindsor, aggregated by home.social.

  1. Will nobody think of the hugely powerful family who paid out millions to avoid public testimony about an alleged rape, and who covered up the regular taxis of sex-trafficked hookers ferried to its palace?

The #DailyTelegraph is off its meds again, letting #CharlesMoore run amok with his pretence that the #HouseOfWindsor is just some ordinary family.

seriously draining to see so many photos of sex creeps with young women where the women’s faces are all that is blacked out

predatory behaviour is undoubtedly “normal” by the standards of ruling classes, but FFS what is commonly acceptable is not necessarily “right”

devastating to see the number of posts from press outlets who don’t understand /care the whole mindset is offensive and disgusting. there is no way token attempts to protect the women by covering their faces makes the photos okay. the predators and complicit hangers on still look obscenely smug, secure, and self satisfied.

women (/ other minorities) are generally dehumanised, and keeping victims faceless and invisible is part of that system.

you (the media) may revel in the downfall of people famous only for being famous — people YOU selected for fame — but if you will not also give those women a voice or speak up on their behalf, or push for prosecutions, you should just phuk off

we do not need the flipping photos to be aware of the criminal activity, they are just click-porn.

this sort of “yellow journalism” has rendered mainstream media almost useless to ordinary decent people, and i take heart in the knowledge so many fortunes invested in controlling information and opinions are struggling to remain viable.
… and i look forward to the day “capitalist democracy” disappears up its own clacker.
    can’t happen soon enough

  7. Even if you want monarchy, dont make do with the Windsors. Maybe there's a case for inbred heads of state, but not THESE inbreds.

The collapse of the #HouseOfWindsor is plainly visible to everyone except the three pillars of British society which might plot the next steps. 🙄

My Friday thoughts o for @BellaCaledonia on the landscape after the plod raid the royals, and arrest the Brits' #exPrince #AndrewMountbattenWindsor.

    RE:
The mystery of Prince Andrew's finances and why there are calls for more transparency….
    ——
“As well as being a royal pariah, Andrew remains the subject of a mystery many are flummoxed by.
The king's brother has not had a paid job for large chunks of his life, yet somehow he has managed to fund a luxury lifestyle.
A chalet in the Alps, first-class globe-trotting, hordes of personal staff and a fleet of flashy cars.
But for years there have been questions about how he has been paying for it all.
The finances of many royals, including Andrew, are shrouded in secrecy and the former prince's status as a member of the British monarchy makes him immune from freedom of information enquiries…”
