Getting ready for a big house move…10 days till we move 2 hours north! Excited but nervous for this new chapter in our lives!

I have my moving date: 13th May
This means I will be off work from the 30th of April until I've recovered and got settled.
In the meantime I have to be careful with cash. It's another long-distance move and is going to cost me a lot because of that.
For the first time ever, because of my health, I'm hiring a removal company rather than a van. Expensive but necessary so I can take the least amount of time off work.

We've been living in #Crieff now for 2 weeks and settling in nicely, I've learned the names of about 4 people and a dozen dogs, each one universally awesome. #Housemove

Obviously old #decor can be redone and better that, if the #house isn’t already at the top of the budget, than endless monochrome (I judge, but I’m in heaven when I see magnolia and cream 😏) Depends on my mood when I look, how well I can visualise a place in my taste. Old and shabby, a damn mess, or stuff I just hate like football, #alcohol and British flag merch, it puts me off.

We still don’t have a washing machine at the new house but it transpires there is a network of roadside washing machines that you can just drive up to, load your washing and then go do something else and they will txt you when they’ve finished. Welcome to the future or something.

To be absolutely clear I am NOT just watching the removal company unload the van. I’m also researching a cable and pipe locating thingy so that I don’t short out the electrics when I go round hanging pictures… #Cornwall #Kernow #HouseMove
