Some bits from Claire Hooper's House of Games.
Very similar to Richard Osman's show, down to the eyebrow-raise in the opening titles.
Different lighting, more background music, shocking lack of buzzer competence.
Even slower pace than BBC2's show, and they give examples of "Rhyme Time".
But the spirit is there, and if it works for the Aussies...

When was the first gb television game show with a cash prize?
Spot on. Zero years out. Slightly smug.
They never gave prizes on "Spelling Bee", still don't on "Round the Islands Quiz", and they hadn't even invented money when "BBC Brain" began.
Good to see Richard keeping the old traditions going.

I might actually have spotted a House of Games error.
When Sade won a BPI award (album of the year for 1984's "Diamond Life"), Sade were seen as a band named after their lead singer. They weren't - yet - a solo performer.
Might be the first House of Games error in over 600 episodes, which is a superlative accurancy rate that I can only hope to emulate.

Final was top ten singles acts of 1994. I said Gloworm, DJ Miko, Wendy Moten; could have said D:Ream, Manchester United and Whigfield.
House of Games: Gethin Jones says he’s terrible at dating. This show recorded before he was kicked off apps for pretending to be … himself.
