Yo se que parezco un ladilla con el servidor de correo, pero realmente tener y configurar un servidor de correo en estos días es algo que la mayoria de los sysadmins le rajan. El correo es un bicho tan noble que siempre va a tener prioridad dentro de los servicion de Undernet, pero es un gran desafío por el spam (el cual nosotros mitigamos con amavis+spamassassin con un modelo bayesiano entrenado), entre otros. Con todo el orgullo tengo que decir que nuestro servidor de correo tiene un puntaje casi perfecto, el unico "warning" es que el servidor DNS esta dentdo de la misma subred... chocolate por la noticia, aparte de eso, es perfecto. Mejor que gmail.com, hotmail.com e incluso que disroot.org (aunque por muy poquito, dado que disroot es un muy buen servidor tambien). @sjvn @ZDNet Lets not forget #Microsoft also had its own #UNIX distribution called #XENIX which was used with their internal version control system #SLM as the repository for their proprietary platforms source code such as #Office and #Windows. #Microsoft spielt Polizist und sperrt bei #Hotmail den Empfang von einigen Webservern des Schweizer ISP #Webland. Davon sind viele KMUs und Privatpersonen betroffen, die Mails auch an Hotmail-Adressen senden wollen / müssen. Ärgerlich auch für die Empfänger:innen mit Hotmail-Adressen. Offenbar reagierte Microsoft längere Zeit gar nicht auf Bemühungen von Webland, die Situation zu klären.
Das sollte für Hotmail-Adressinhaber:innen Anlass sein, über einen Wechsel nicht nur nachzudenken...

1/3🧵: I'm completely losing it with #Microsoft. They are the archetype of #enshittification. Their products ultimately used to work OK, but now it is a total 💩 show. I own a #hotmail account opened in 1998 (the good times). It's my #spam account, the one I give to open accounts.
Since Oct 2025 I stopped receiving my reservations or even account verification #emails from #Eurostar. I checked everything, it's 💯 % blocked at server level by MS. Others reported LNER and RailEurope are also blocked.

#Hotmail (war noch nie meine Primäraddresse) > #Posteo (nutze ich seit Snowden) und Mailbox.org als Reserve (auch weil ich die Cloud & Online-Office Features eh nutze).
Wichtigste weitere Programme:
#CorelPhotopaint > #Krita (FOR THE WIN zusammen mit meinem Wacom-Intuos!)
#CorelDraw > #Inkscape (nicht ganz so rund, dafür kostenfrei & nicht-AI-verseucht)
#Browser > #LibreWolf #Waterfox
Fazit: erst nach Wechsel gemerkt, wie STRESSIG & UNPRODUKTIV das Windows-Ökosystem zuletzt war!

Anyone else having issues with signing in to Hotmail today?

Mine is telling me my password is wrong, but when I reset it the new password is also wrong and it won't let me in, even though I'm typing the new password in correctly, case sensitive and all that.

Trying to do the 'recover account' thing just puts me in a feedback loop too so I simply can't get in to the account.

Plus de gmail! C'est marrant; je me dis tiens si j'allais voir sur ce mail si il y a des mails. Et là, hô stupeur, #gmail doit m'envoyer un mail à @swing.be afin de savoir si c'est bien moi. Sauf que je n'ai plus ce mail depuis 20 ans et que cette boite n'existe plus.
Plus de #hotmail! Cette journée est topssime; cro$oft veut m'envoyer un mail afin de vérifier que c'est bien moi. Et là, c'est sur mon gmail. Je suis plié; pas besoin de se débarrasser des #GAFAM, , ils le font pour toi.

Ik besef ineens dat ik nu op een punt ben aangekomen dat ik het #internet niet meer vertrouw. Je wordt overal gevolgd en bekeken, Websites werken niet of traag door de vele #reclame, #zoekmachines zijn kapot ook weer door die reclame, en bij #mail moet ik maar afwachten of die überhaupt wel aankomt en niet door BIg Tech worden tegengehouden. Vooral bij #Hotmail, #Live en #Gmail heb ik bedenkingen.

Aber sagt bitte euren Verwandten, Bekannten und Freund:innen, dass es keine gute Idee ist, E-Mails über Dinosaurier wie #AOL, #Yahoo, #Hotmail und andere MS-Dienste oder #GoogleMail abzuwickeln! Nicht nur wegen des Serverstandorts – sie sind auch technisch nicht auf der Höhe, wie man hier nachlesen kann:

Macht man in 2025 noch Mails mit [email protected] oder ist das von Nachteil, weil man so den Namen direkt auslesen kann?
