not sure what dvr he is using - i think it has a 2tb hd or something - we have like 12+ camera - he was like hey you were supposed to bring in your laptop today but i said i had my phone which did help once we were up and running - we changed modes to repeater and he said it was running great until the password issue cropped up, we will call support and see what the deal is - it is an interface issue #hotkeys

I am using the latest versions of NVDA with Firefox and am on the someplace.social homepage. I just found this wonderful post, full of keyboard shortcuts for Mastodon.

Я уже давно работаю в этой IDE и меня все в ней устраивает, обилие горячих клавиш, UI , множество плагинов, гибкость, встроенные интеграции, но почти на каждом созвоне с коллегами, если они показывают демонстрацию экрана, оказывается, что они не знают о той или иной настройке, горячей клавише или плагине, которые значительно улучшили бы их пользовательский опыт. Only just learned the hotkey for moving a window between monitors:
shift + special + left or right arrow(at least on #Fedora)
And I learned it by mistake!

Ich bin ja großer Fan von #Hotkeys und liebe die #StreamDecks, inbesondere zusammen mit Bitfocus Companion und #AutoHotkey statt des #Elgato-Bloat-Schrotts.
Bei #Pearl gibt's jetzt eine „Billig“-Version für 99€.

Без нее многие уже не могут полноценно работать за компьютером. Но используя только клавиатуру, можно открывать окна, изменять их размер или перемещать, запускать программы, да и впринципе делать абсолютно все, что необходимо. Нажмите сочетание «Alt + пробел» и приключение начнется! Конечно, у каждой клавиши-модификатора есть своя, зачастую необычная, история, и про каждую можно написать отдельную статью. Но давайте посмотрим на их общую историю. Это будет лишним поводом учить комбинации горячих клавиш и использовать их в повседневности. Поехали!

Do you use the keyboard controls for Mastodon's official web interface?
If so, you might like to know that there's an undocumented command Ctrl + Enter which will publish whatever you're writing. It's not clear why this isn't on the official command list. (Thanks to @antdesros for pointing this out 🙏 )

also - remembered - when you are installing vm it can be helpful to install on the actual device itself not through vnc or you may run into mouse and kb issues #hotkeys

Alright I officially fell in love with the hotkeys of KDE Plasma 6. I love using 4 workspaces and navigate them with a custom hotkey showing the global overview.
Together with other custom hotkeys I can navigate the system without touching the mouse. This is so much easier than on Windows.
Windows is still missing a search if you tab between windows, this is such a game changer on KDE to just type for the app to focus.

I'm not sure I follow. Do you mean like "^g + ...", or "Alt-g + ...)"?.
Or just the letter "g" itself is a hotkey in one of those web clients?
Elpher (a Gopher/Gemini client in Emacs) uses #hotkeys in this manner, as do some other cli clients (vi/Vim), etc., but in a GUI I'm mostly used to seeing either the Ctrl (^), or Alt keys used, even in most terminals, i.e., "Alt + Shift +v" to paste in most Linux/BSD terminal clients, analagous to Windows' "^v", While Tmux is "^b + ..."

I’m convinced hot key designers are anarchists. One misplace finger drag or accidentally key press and my whole laptop freaks out changing font sizes even what apps are open…

Google does a lot of controversial shit but making `/` a hot key for giving focus to their search bar, IMO, should be default hotkey on all sites.
All those docs searches, Gitlab, and Github search bars, shopping sites' search bars, they all should be focused by pressing `/`. And in no case they should continue stealing `Ctrl+F` from user.
