I didn't know Hotglue, but there is a lot to explore.

Today I be mainly making this ! Biggest #3DPrinting project using #TinkerCAD, 90cm garden plant sticks and of course #HotGlue 🙂
Feel free to guess what it's for 🙂

I made an USB "data only" adapter for CNC/3D-Printer serial connection, I could try to design an enclosure but I'll probably just drown it in hotglue 🤭
-
I bet one could make a "rubber stamp" using a #3Dprinted mold, oiling it, and filling it with #hotglue...

Wickeyed (pic 1) began as a monsterbash challenge. (Pic 2) I randomly generated 5 monster parts and brainstormed a wax monster with my brother.
(Pic 3) I used a random bottle (for the stove body), a Wawa juice bottle and styrofoam (for the monster body), a water gun piece (for the arm), and other junk.
(Pic 4) After adding a few 3D-printed and EVA foam pieces, hot glue was layered on to achieve the dripping wax.

"Wickeyed are sentient wax slimes who, despite their ominous appearance, are more of a nuisance than a threat. Though novel thinking has recently made them surprisingly helpful for humans.” (1/3)
Additional lore in the replies!
I'll post its development tomorrow.

Now I kinda want to make a #3dPrintable construction system to combine #hotglue sticks into amazing structures.

Only thing waterproof(?) that comes to mind is #HotGlue.
But I find it very hard to control at small scale.Wondering if replacing the case would be more reliable and easier?

Found this monster head at a thrift shop. (No body with it or anything.) Decided to make it my mascot for my #Gasslands arena, turning it into a #burningman style installation.
(Using #meccano and #jenga blocks from a previous thrift trip, popsicle sticks, a caffeine bottle, an old socket, a length of cable, and lots of #hotglue)

I made a noise generator. It runs on two AAA batteries and makes digital noise using the PIC12F1840.

I didn't really realize that glue sticks had much odour, but after spending two hours repairing the jute-rope wrapped cat tower, I'm still smelling it.
Rather unpleasant, I should've had some better ventilation I think. I'll remember for next time, as they shred the thing regularly.

Theoretically you could make an adapter with a tiny circuit board for mechanical keyboard switches so they work to close the circuit on a membrane keyboard circuit then hot glue it onto the board so you don't even need solder, right? Only problem would be keyboards that use a flexible plastic that would make hot gluing the adapters and switches risky.
