  5. CW: Attempting to make a masala chai simple syrup

First attempt at making a Masala #Chai simple syrup has been decent.
I do think it needs quite a bit more ginger (perhaps I should grate some instead of slicing it), and get some better cinnamon sticks. Should also look into if there is much of a difference between using cardamom pods, or just the dried seeds from them (which I used).
Definitely need to up the spice to water ratio too, or let it infuse for longer.
Using muscovado along with regular sugar gives an interesting extra depth, but may also have made it too sweet. (Though amping up the spices in general might help with that too, as I would need to add less of the #SimpleSyrup to my freshly brewed #tea.)

  10. Brewed a pot of #mint #infusion / #tisane for me and @Siiw.
Fresh #mintLeaves from our own #homeGarden, honey, a stick of (#cassia or #burmannii?) #cinnamon bark, a #clove, and a bit of dried #ginger (some of it I tried to grate). I guess I tried to mimic a sort of #MoroccanMint beverage?

  11. A cup of hot water, some freshly grated #ginger, and a bit or sugar to taste; an #infusion / #hotBeverage can be so simple, yet so tasty...

Pro-tip when grating the ginger: put a bit of cling wrap over the outward protruding grater of your #boxgrater before gently grating the ginger over it. Afterwards you can just scrape the minced ginger off the plastic foil with a spoon (or pour the hot water over it), and not worry as much about the cleanup.
