Gestern mit dem #Horrorctober #Shocktober angefangen und bei "The Hills Have Eyes" (1977) eingeschlafen. Davor nur über alle Charaktere aufgeregt. Entweder war der Film nicht meins oder ich muss meine Schlafenszeiten überdenken.

I'd say the more the merrier. #Spooktober + #horrorctober were big on :birdsite:, but they had strong gatekeeping vibes. I participated, but never really belonged. It would be nice to let in everybody who wants to join. That is important to me. Not because of reach, but I want everyone to feel welcome and have fun.

I loved this film. Watched it for #Horrorctober two years ago. Felt like Horror meets Fargo meets Twin Peaks: Witty, clever and dry. It delivers a fresh contribution to the genre. Cummings skilfully strolls between heartbreaking and overacting and is supported by a great cast. Tense, ironic horror in an eerily beautiful snowy setting.
