The maggots churned in the container. The doctor said that it needed to be done after the debridement. I didn’t care, the thought of sticking my foot in there was sickening. I turned my head as the nurses gently placed my foot in the writhing mass. I had to fight the gag reflex.The nipping sensation was painful, but the pain meds kept the full extent at bay. After 10 minutes, they removed my foot and started applying a bandage, the gaping wound quickly hidden. -
Going to try starting something that disappeared a while ago that I miss. Under the hashtag #HorrorShortStories I’ll post a theme once a week on which people can write a short horror story.
