For me, Freddy’s Revenge is one I usually skip… unless I’m in the mood for some fun.
Now this documentary says it’s actually “the gayest movie” LOL -

I'm so tired of the enshittification of horror.
It feels like any time I look for good content surrounding horror its 90% Mr Incredible becomes uncanny memes, SCP slop, self insert FNAF fanfics, and ARGs / analog "horror" that's nothing but constant exposition and hand holding the audience.
Dont even get me started on what passes for "Lovecraftian" now.
HP Lovecraft rolls in his grave everytime a new "Lovecraftian" movie is made. -

Joss Whedon has never done much for me, long before we found out he was a total creep, because the only person I've ever see who is so obviously more in love with their own dialogue is Aaron Sorkin. Dude doesn't have a subtle, conversational bone in his body. So despite loving horror movies and horror monsters and being queer, I could never really get into Buffy, his other shows, or most of his screenplays though I am a fan of The Cabin in the Woods (but you can ABSOLUTELY tell which lines are Whedon's in that screenplay)
