  2. Confabulation Episode 1: Author interview of horror author Lana Casiello

    https://vimeo.com/1192111445?fl=pl&fe=sh

Here is the first of three episodes where I interviewed horror author @lana_casiello. Originally uploaded in full to YouTube, I’ve decided to bring my writing world interview series, Confabulation, to other places. I’ve also decided I’ll be breaking these interviews into episodes moving forward.

In this first episode, Lana and I discuss colonialism in Hawaii and her Hawaiian heritage. More to come in the next episodes, so stay tuned. Follow the blog if you like this Confabulation series. I interview authors, publishers, and other writerly types.

  5. Some stories don't need room to grow. They just need the right door.

Dark Descent is a monthly micro-horror magazine. Short, sharp, unsettling fiction that gets under the skin fast. Best stories go into the yearly Dark Descent anthology too.

Submissions are open. Tag a horror writer who should know.

  9. Hags and Witches was one of my favorite anthologies so far this year. Folk horror is my favorite subgenre, and to me, witches are its backbone, its heart, and its core. I devoured these pages like a hungry child who discovered a house with a roof made of cake and windows of pure sugar. Toss me in the oven, I'm done. #horrorfiction #bookstodon My review is posted at wellwortharead.blogspot.com/20

  10. Story Hours come together in uncanny ways. Eugen Bacon and Phil Keeling read artful, chilling stories addressing resource shortages in different parts of the world. Cli-fi, social horror, incredible storytelling. 14. New entry in my personal blog!

I read another small press horror title, the wonderful Straw World and Other Echoes From The Void by Erik McHatton. Ligottian horror with a hint of Clive Barker and plenty of nods to old-school Weird Tales. A nihilistic edge combined with real heart. Well worth your time.
