Ich 💜 ja Mangas. #horimiya ist eins meiner #Mangas die ich komplett habe.
Was Mangas betrifft, bin ich da eine kleine #leseratte.
Horimiya habe ich zuerst den Anime geschaut und danach die Mangas gelesen. Mittlerweile mag ich es eher andersherum: erst Mangas lesen danach den Anime. Außer es gibt im Manga einen Cliffhanger der im Anime weiter ist, dann schaue ich den Anime weiter ^^
Wie ist es bei euch? Erst Anime und dann Manga, andersherum, oder egal? -
okay, it's definitely no #fruitsbasket but I got through the first season of #horimiya okay, but the romance plot is sloooow and the first season rushes through to graduation (it's set in a high school) when the two mains are already well established in their relationship, then season 2 jumps back and is just one aimless "slice of life" quickie after another? I looked it up and apparently the anime showrunners assumed it wouldn't be a hit anime for some reason so they skipped a loooot of the source manga in the first season, then went back to a lot of the skipped parts for season 2, which they skipped because they didn't have much overall bearing on the story, hence why season 2 is pointless. Now I'm reading the webcomic the manga and then the anime was based on, but the fan translations are very spotty (they did, like, chapter 1-29, then it jumps to 50, then 121??) because different sub groups picked up then dropped it, and I'm not sure I'll continue after I hit the first big break. Then I'll probably try the manga, though maybe after I give it some time to forget what I just watched.
Either way, I prefer manga usually since I can just skim through the boring parts (like fight scenes 😏 ), but after I somehow got obsessed with the fruits basket remake, I decided to give some other animes a try, but I'm having trouble finding another I haven't already seen that has a decent romance subplot but actually has other meaningful stuff going on and isn't just "slice of life"...I hate being so picky, it's the same with fiction novels too, there are sooooo many things in a story (writing style, 1-dimensional characters, written in first person and/or present tense, on and on...) that can completely turn me off and make it hard for me to stay engaged with the material 😭
