Did a quick overnighter during what may be this season's coldest weekend. About -12C which is about 15C colder than where I usually draw the line. Wanted to test myself and my equipment. And we all passed the test. I mean I'm here writing this in a good mood.

Went for a traditional after family dinner run lady night. In the dark spooky forest. Illuminated only by my headlamp.

I find there is something strangely comforting in the darkness. Existence shrinks to only include me. It envelopes me and removes everything not in the lamplight. And when the light moves whatever existed in it is no more. I am alone and I am everything.
