Just realized Hoppscotch have some breaking change that requires to have new env variables and a manual data migration… found my self hosted Hoppscotch 503 and had to fix it during the work. Nice :neocat_laugh_nervous:

Why has every alternative to #postman be some greedy corperate shit, first I read over the denied OIDC-PR at #hoppscotch (https://github.com/hoppscotch/hoppscotch/pull/3266).
And now I discovered Bruno https://www.usebruno.com/
Aaaand they also have a propietary paid "gold tier". This will surely not lead to similar results :ac_sighing:

I finally got my #Hoppscotch instance working better. I had dealing with CORS. It's always a pain in the butt.

I get to setup #Fedora #Linux anew. This time around I have been taking in more features and closing up other security flaws. Also trying to go fully #opensource which will definitely stagnate my work progress for the next couple of weeks.

Security flaw I fixed is having multiple user accounts instead of just having root and letting root only do the bare minimum in content creation.

The one feature I integrated is having a shared directory over multiple accounts.

Some open source shifts I have already taken:

• #neovim instead of #vscode
• #hoppscotch instead of #postman
• #nuclearmusicapp instead of #spotify

I remember the first time I heard about Postman. It was from my teamlead. Enthusiastic nerdy guy and a great mentor; would go on for minutes talking about how much he loved PM.
For me though, when I started developing API, I would just use a browser extension. That is, until I found #Hoppscotch. This tool is everything PM is and it's :fosstodon:

I really need to convince the rest of my team switch from PM to this. It's not like we're paying for a PM license :thinking:
