My friend Todd, @KE2AEQ has a guest post on QRPer about the fun we all had doing #TOTA at the #HOPE_16 conference. Check it out! https://qrper.com/2025/09/behind-the-scenes-at-first-u-s-tota/

Another @hopeconf in the books. This was my third and most engaging one. The more I learn and the more people I meet the more fun this event becomes.
Thank you all that made this happen

I got a few minutes at #hope_16 to catch up with Harry Halpin, who probably more than anyone is responsible for the existence of social web standards from the W3C.

#HOPE_16 NOC report was awesome. The number that blew my mind: 32% of HTTP traffic on the wifi network was unencrypted. How can that even happen?!?

Check out these resources on how to program your ESP32-based electronic badges:

“Learn more about why you pay a premium for us being more competitive, but why we keep dumping more than a sane amount of Elongated Muskrat’s money into this market.”
I (easily) convinced three of us to share a ride. The “profits” went to a generous tip to the driver who probably learned enough through osmosis to pass his Technician exam, whether he wants to or not.

I'm enjoying the talk about https://open.email at #HOPE_16. It's a really nice design; it's almost isomorphic with ActivityPub.

I’m at HOPE_16> (virtually) for the next couple of days 🎉💕
I haven’t switched onto #NewYork time this year ‘coz I’m already exhausted from too many very long days, so I’m just catching little bits here & there on the livestream & checking in on the room chats every now & then 👀

The 16th #Hackers On Planet Earth ( #HOPE ) #conference will be held from August 15-17, 2025.
The HOPE conferences are known for their #creativity and #diversity , not to mention a whole lot of hacker fun. We've been at this for over three decades now - the first HOPE conference was in 1994.
#HOPE_16 is different, though. For the first time ever, HOPE has become an annual event. 👍😀
