I'm a reluctant #HouseKeeper. I seldom vacuum or clean my carpets or dust unless the "need" is obvious & even then I'll procrastinate about it.

Well, I finally decided that my carpets needed cleaning. So, I endeavored to find the "right" carpet cleaner to buy. #Bissell & #Hoover dominate this market & when I did the research on the "best" carpet cleaner to buy, the "reviews" were inconsistent.

So, I just threw caution to the wind & bought the one that I was most attracted to (for relevant & irrelevant reasons) BUT, while I usually do NOT buy extended product warranty for the things that I buy, I bought 1 for this item because more than enough people report them failing in less than a year & because I've owned a carpet cleaner before that did the same thing.

Fingers crossed that it lasts long enough for at least 1 extensive use to clean my carpets, the cost of which hopefully will be less than it would have cost to rent one.

Hoover/Haier have poor customer service when it comes to replacement parts. After contacting them, they replied by email requesting details I had already supplied by reply to an email sent from a 'no-reply' email address. I have found a set of replacement screws on their website, however I find £18 exorbitant. It's a washing machine, not a jet engine! The online compatibility checker for this item does not recognise my model number. #hoover #haier
