If you're looking for a #Streaming alternative you might want to see if your #PublicLibrary offers #Hoopla or something similar. The library pays for each checkout, so I think artists are compensated but I can't confirm that. And it probably doesn't have the selection of the bigger platforms. What are good #audiobook alternatives to #Audible? Their "10€ per audiobook" prizing with at least one book per month subscription is really nice.

Best I found so far is libro.fm, with 12€ per credit. Any experiences with them?

I tried #Onleihe, but they simply don't have the kinds of audiobooks I'm looking for. My local German library doesn't appear to be part of #LibbyApp or #Hoopla.

I just finished watching #DarkWinds season 1 on #Hoopla, a free #streaming service available to holders of #LibraryCards in some parts of the #US.

I had skipped it many times when I saw it highlighted on #Hulu(?), and that was a mistake.

It's a really good show and the 1971 setting is a nice touch.

I love how they leave some elements open to interpretation, and the excellent reveal about the money at the end. We were told earlier...

Feeling like it’s the end of an era tonight.
Just finished the finale of #FoylesWar, a bittersweet moment I feel like I rarely have anymore. Every other night the past two months, it’s been: Eight series, 28 mini-movies, ingenious crime plotting, wartime era. Can’t believe it took us 20 years to discover, but I’ll cherish the delay.
