Por fin participo un jueves.
Me regalaron botes de tinta de Waterman y quería alguna #PlumaEstilográfica con conversor. Tengo una que me regalaron para #lettering con tres plumines diferentes pero no la uso por el peso en la mano. Una pena.

Four months ago I posted about this quirky #fountainpen I popped into my shopping cart on impulse one night while grabbing some supplies on Amazon.

Well, after that original post I didn’t use the pen. I put it away in a case and I forgot about it. Recently, I bought a new, large #pencase and moved most of my pens into that case. While I was doing so, I realized I had a bunch of pens that had been sitting around, inked, but unused, including this one.

Last night I pulled out ten pens (five Parker 51 clones, #Lamy Safari, #Hongdian M2 Brass, Hongdian C1, #TWSBI Eco and this Wilknd) to clean out.

Of the pens I pulled out: 2 Parker 51 clones, the Lamy, and the Hongdian M2 Brass had dried out / failed to write. But the Wilknd, the one that was in the case the longest (except for the TWSBI and Lamy) worked immediately. After four months that pen was writing up a storm like I had just filled it and started using it.

Just goes to show: name brand isn’t everything. Even the cheapest, no-name pen can perform as well as, and possibly better than a brand name pen.

My #Hongdian M2 #fountainpen arrived, testing with #wearingeul The Picture of Dorian Gray ink. Which might be too light for the Extra Fine nib, but it’s interesting though.
Trying on #hobonichi and #hieroglyhs notebook. First time I have an Hobonichi. Very nice paper!

@Rataunderground

So, now that I've finished #inking my hands for tonight with both Hongdian and Diamine #ink, I have a question for the #fountainpenlovers on Mastodon / the Fediverse...

I have a pair of #hongdian M2's, and I noticed the other night that there is an issue with the cartridge converter... Basically, when the piston is extended it hits the top of the feed tube, and pushes the body of the converter up. This causes there to be no vacuum for the first turn of the shaft when you are trying to fill the converter.

Now, I know the "easy" answer is to not lower the piston that far -- but that leaves a significant gap, which will keep a significant amount of space in the converter (I'd guess around 0.1ml).

Has anyone found a fix for this? Or has anyone found a better fitting converter for the M2?

I got my first pocket fountain pen, to go with my pocket BuJo ringbook.

#fountainPens #Hongdian

I've just spent the past half an hour pulling hard at the nib of my #hongdian black forest because I had read online it was a fiction fit, only to realise it was actually a screw-in nib…
#fountainpen

My new Fountain Pen / Frankenpen.

Hongdian N7 with #32 unit and feed, and Wingsung 699 nib.

This pen does not accept default #6 nib units, and even if, the cap would not close. Additionally, there was no M nibs around as stock. I had to find a shorter #6 nib and fit into the pen.

After some research, I learned that WS 699 nibs are in same length, and #32 nib units fit into the body. Got spares, and voila, it's a nice wet writer!

The Hongdian 1866 in Ebony. Not a bad pen for the price!

#fountainpen #fountainpens #penaddict #stationery #hongdian

I got a new fountain pen, and it has the trans flag colors! It's a Hongdian N9 with a "long blade" or architect nib. The nib took me a bit to get used to, but I find it gives particularly nice shading to my inks, and has a wet flow, which I appreciate.

Here I'm using Sailor Studio 024 ink and Cosmo Air Snow paper.

I just got a really pretty new fountain pen! It's a Hongdian N7 "Peacock" with a medium nib and piston filler.

Notebook is Tomoe River 68gsm from Goulet, and the ink is Robert Oster Sydney Lavender.

#fountainpen #fountainpens #bulletjournal #bujo #hongdian #peacock #pen #pens #stationery #writing

This is the Hongdian N10, because apparently everyone needs a pen with a no. 8 nib these days in their lineup. Piston filler and ebonite feed. Really not a bad pen, but maybe a bit on the light side.

Today’s journaling setup: A Kokuyo B5 notebook and a Hongdian N9 inked with KWZ Warsaw Dreaming.

Just inked up a new fountain pen 🖋️ It is a New Hongdian A3 aluminium fountain pen. It wasn't expensive but it writes like a dream 🌸 I have been using TWSBI pens forever so it has been a while since I've tried other brands. I wasn't expecting a relatively inexpensive pen to write so well.
