Progress for one of the Honeycombs and a return to dual-nodes in service. Now both nodes have:
- cpu fan: 40mm Everflow PWM slim (12v 0.18a vs 12v 0.08a orig)
- heatsink: Enzotech SLF-40 copper
- noctua pwm controller linking chassis and cpu fans
- improved cable management
- more storage: 2TB gen3 NVMe -

It's a beautiful day with fun things to work on, assuming the motivation to arise from the couch occurs before lulling into daydreams; 8hrs of sleep has me feeling uncommonly rested.
Today revisits this week's multi-day #Linux performance #benchmarking on an AMD EPYC (64C/128T, 1.5TB RAM, 192TB gen4 NVMe U.2). Then, some fun w/ Poudriere on ARM64 (#SolidRun #honeycomblx2 #FreeBSD), and maybe provisioning more #nvidia Orin-NX on a grief inducing #TuringPi2 board.🤩

Despite having 2x @[email protected] #HoneycombLX2 systems that are still in pre-prod, this #ClearFog #LX2162A #arm64 #networking dev system needs to come home with me like, now. 🤩
They just need to offer an m-ITX case + backplate for all those sexy ports, and then it would be perfect.

@justizin Enzotech has a few that should work, although I have not tested their lower profile models. Last weekend I had an idea that the SilverStone SST-NT07-115X could be modded to fit the #HoneyCombLX2 I may pick one up and see how hard it is to mod the mounting plate to work.

@justizin All #HoneyCombLX2 needs is 12V's and PSU_ON to/from the power supply. We don't use 5V or 3.3V rails from the ATX connector.

As some of my other tests have hinted at, the #LX2160a in the #HoneyCombLX2 has reduced memory bandwidth when using threads on the same cluster. Max memory bandwidth is achieved at 1 thread per cluster.

@justizin It uses usb. It is the second micro-usb port on the back of the #HoneyCombLX2
