The label from the very first rosé wine I made, with friend David Jordan, at Oregon State University.
The grapes came from various vines in OSU's grape variety mother block, hence the "mélange" in the name. The "Sä-môn" was a reference to its orange colour...
Label drawn by Catherine Hibbitt.

The label from the very first wine I made, with friend David Jordan, at Oregon State University. Dave was studying for his PhD and I for my MS at the time. My very talented friend Catherine Hibbitt drew the label, which I went on to use for future vintages.
The grapes came from a research block and was fermented in glass carboys.
Great memories, and the wine was well regarded by all accounts...

Current ABV is 17.5 percent.
