While installing shower doors, the instructions tell us which way to install gravity. The doors are only sealed at the bottom, so installing gravity backwards would cause the shower to leak all over the ceiling.

Whew, a long day today working in cramped spaces.
If you ever see someone using #ductTape to seal joints on duct work and ventilation, shout "No!" in a firm voice and squirt them with a water bottle.
It's an understandable rookie mistake given the name of the stuff, but it's not actually for that and performs terribly when it's used that way.

Yay, I did a thing today, so I haven't been totally useless.
A basement window has an outer screen that was inexplicably too large for its mounting channels so I disassembled its aluminum frame and shortened the top and bottom pcs by a cm, then reassembled and re-splined the screen. Success.
Don't feel as lazy about the long breakfast and wandering through antique shops today.

Yay, just finished the second installed attic-hatch build & install. Number three is easy, hatch is fine, just needs insulation. Number four is more complex. Some sketching and thinking is required there. It's a large pull-down ladder hatch.

This is not a place you ever want to be and not where I planned to be #today. I was installing, or trying to, the bathroom vanity when I realized it needed bracing behind the wall. So I had to crawl into the small cubby hole in our bedroom closet to access the area behind the wall, dig out the insulation, and install some bracing.
