Tutti gli #Apple #Homepod2 finiscono per avere il problema del “phantom touch”, ossia il pannello superiore scazza e attiva Siri a caso, ferma e fa ripartire la riproduzione, anche in piena notte o con casa vuota.
Dopo 3 anni e mezzo di felice utilizzo l’unica opzione era iFixit, tanta pazienza, cacciaviti torx e bestemmie. Ce l’ho fatta, e la coppia stereo ora funziona di nuovo in pieno! sempre meglio che litigare settimane con Apple Care per una sostituzione su cui avrebbero fatto gli gnorri. -

Continue to believe that it’s an excellent speaker for the size. Given that you’re well within Apple’s ecosystem, of course.
If you have an original HomePod, it probably isn’t worth the upgrade—sound wise—unless you’re an audio nerd looking for a more tonally balanced sound. Most people won’t be able to hear the difference.
However, if size isn’t a problem and you can go biggabsolutelyst bookshelf speakers will offer better sound quality for less money. #HomePod #HomePod2

Finally set up my first HomePod 2 last night. #HomePod #HomePod2
Initial sound impressions:
- Original HomePod overall gets louder, but has a more relaxed, darker tonality, giving it a softer and less detailed treble response.
- HomePod 2 is more well rounded and detailed. HomePod 2 could be described as more analytical with a more present upper midrange and treble. Female vocals are more breathy, hi-hats are more present.

Some thoughts on the new HomePod.
The sound itself I’ve found to be more balanced with better clarity. But it isn’t as loud and maybe lacks some depth compared to the original.
I’m not audiophile or expert by any stretch. But it is a slight downgrade in my opinion. Only redeeming feature for me is the Matter compatibility.
