Here is a health tip.

Especially if you live in the US where, I understand they shoot you in the head if you break a leg, like a horse.

If you start getting #earpain #earinfection or some kind of #ear thing that's mildly painful.

You can get these "Swimmer drops" which cost stuff all, pop one drop in. And the pain will usually go away.

It usually clears in 12 hours or less.
It's a very mild antiseptic that's designed for ear. It has saved me multiple visits to the doc over the years.

My OH got a tick bite on the leg that has become infected. She now has a hand sized area that is swollen and red.

I've explained to her that in the movies this is usually dealt with using a hunting knife, which is first cleansed over an open fire. The patient is given a slug of whisky and a stick to bite on, as an alternative to anaesthetic during the operation. I can do this.

Inexplicably, she doesn't seem keen on my offer.
