Jam or lots of crumbles?
The last of the yellow plums now picked. It’s been a good year.These are ‘Pershore Yellow Egg’ and are definitely a cooking variety. Eaten raw they have the texture of cotton wool and little flavour but cooked the juice is the clearest golden yellow and the flavour’s superb.

It’s a good year for blossom - let’s hope we don’t get frost.
This is the ‘Pershore Yellow Egg’ plum. It produces huge yellow plums that are terrible raw but cooked produce fruit with a great flavour and clear, golden juice. Pershore isn’t far from me so almost a local variety.
