@VTDARKSIM Integrating it with #HomeAssistant should be possible. #Homebox has an API to interact with it from other applications. I suppose it should be possible to add maintenance reminders via the /v1/maintenance/{id} API endpoint.

@VTDARKSIM I use #HomeBox. It is quite nice. Really the only thing that I would like to see added is the ability to have recurring maintenance reminders. That would allow me to get a regular reminder to check devices with batteries in them that I otherwise easily forget. Other than that I don't have any complaints.

Я занёс документы в Paperless, но рука чешется занести ВЕСЬ домашний инвентарь, чтобы легко находить "пока ненужное" спустя какое-то время. Самым интуитивным предложением выглядит #HomeBox, очень не терпится опробовать эту штуку!

I am looking for a self-hostable web based application to be an inventory of the (real, rather than e-) #books in the house. It should be able to accept a list of #ISBNs as input for importing items and look them up (with covers) to ingest their metadata.

It doesn't need #library style circulation (I don't want to run a library so don't want #Koha or equivalent)

I've been using #HomeBox which is ok but only understands "things" rather than "books" (I've written a isbn2homebox script to make that easier). I'd like something purpose designed for books though.

Does anyone use anything like this? There are plenty of free or subscription things available online, but I want to run this myself.

Anforderungen war, Lagerorte (verschachtelt, also Keller -> Werkzeugkeller -> Regal 1 etc.), Foto als Anhang und ne vernünftige Suche.

Ich denke ich bin mit dem zufällig aufgetauchten HomeBox fündig geworden.

Wenn mein Server die neueste Version bekommt geht auch OIDC.

As promised, installed Homebox from @sysadminszone and have given it a go.

It will be replacing Snipe-IT. So simple and easy to use but nice and powerful too. Seeing a few errors in the terminal but nothing affecting the operation (and it is fairly early in its development).

Been (trying at) using Snipe-IT for quite a while, but it's just too powerful and complicated a solution for home use. Haven't given it a go yet, but will install it and let the folks out there know how it goes!

OIDC integration looks like it's coming soon as well which is great!

Ah, RE: QR codes: Under *Tools*, there's a custom label generator, where you can specify a base url. Still, the QR codes in the rest of the UI will still contain the useless local service url.

Stumbled upon #HomeBox¹, a pragmatic and easily self-hostable inventory tracking system. On :nixos: #NixOS unstable, this gets you started:

It looks cool and easy to use, but apparently there's no item movement history and one can't set the public url so all generated asset QR codes will be wrong IIUC 😅
