@DerEntspannende #homeassisant läuft bei mir schon immer auf einem Raspi damit es nicht von anderen Dingen abhängig ist.
Habe dieses Jahr auf einen Pi5 mit SSD umgestellt. Die Wiederherstellung war super einfach

Dadurch kann der #Deconz #Zigbee Stick unabhängig von der Hardware an einer kleinen Raspberry angeschlossen sein und wird über USB/IP angesprochen.

Warum?

Weil mein HA in einem #proxmox Cluster läuft, und da kann sich ja mal der Host ändern.

Inzwischen hat das Projekt die Beta-Phase verlassen und liegt im Major-Release 1.0.0 vor.

@amd I have moved my #Deconz dongle to an external #RPI , connected via USB/IP Server/client .

1. it is stabile
2. i can move the #homeassisant VM to any #Proxmox host I want
3. this enables high availability to the HomeAssistant

Speaking of #homeassisant is it worth buying their kits or is it better to roll your own?

I’m particularly interested in it acting as a hub - I forget the spec but I believe for the RF connected devices such as Lutron or Philips Hue.

Does anyone know of any ~800 lumen candle style #zigbee light bulbs with an #E14 base with controllable colour temperature? I can't seem to find any brighter than 470 lumens. (Ikea Tradfri globes are 806lm, but the candle shape ones are only 470lm).

@oskar ich habe seit einem halben Jahr zwei Sonoff TRVZB im Einsatz und bin bisher zufrieden. Evtl. zusätzlich mit Better Thermostat um die Regelung über ein Thermometer an einer anderen Stelle im Raum durchzuführen #homeassisant

My #Smarthome is getting a little out of hand... All those apps are only managing a single device 😅🙈.

And they all are just there for the initial setup because i have connected all those to my #homeassisant

This weekend I explored #homeassisant. Interesting! I may have to upgrade my old desktop computer.

All my #mqtt sensors are now visible. Some I see are out of whack

Using an esp8266, 2 toggle switches, and Esphome I build a box that I can use to enable and disable different automations in home assistant.

For example I use a door sensor on my 3 year olds bedroom door to trigger an alert to my phone at night if he gets up and leaves his bedroom. The problem is if my wife or I open and close his door after we get up with him I continue to get alerts. Now I can simply toggle them off and on.

The scaffolding came down from our building yesterday which meant I could hang our solar panel again. Within a few hours, my solar powered website sprang back to life after a long winter break. #hass #homeassisant

So I may have gone way over the top building my home automation and security. I just finished upgrading my alarm panel with one that is HomeKit compatible and integrated it into home assistant. I also did some new integration from blue iris to home assistant for my AI alerts. If it's not the most secure house around I don't know what is. #homeassisant

Lifx released some #matter compliant bulbs and it's so nice they just work ☺️ I had to add them via the Google Home app as wouldn't add directly in #homeassisant , but was able to link them after very easily.
