I currently have a broadlink RM mini 3 doing IR control of an aircon via #homeassiatant. I would like to replace it with something that doesn't need to be on a network with an internet route.
What's everyone's favourite IR proxy device? Preferably something I can flash with esphome and forget about?

Nebenbei hat es noch den Voteil, dass man darüber auf Dienste im eigenen LAN von überall zugreifen kann, ohne sie per Portfreigabe im Internet zu veröffentlichen. Next #homeassiatant win: I built a little esp32 dongle that can control the awning on my back porch, and it now extends automatically at noon during summer on sunny days to reduce A/C load if I forget to extend it manually (and retracts at sunset). Great ecosystem.
(I'll clean up the hardware tomorrow now that it works)
