I was able to fix this issue of my Apple TV not uploading HomeKit Secure Video after it updated itself to 26.1 by logging into icloud.com and accepting the latest iCloud terms and conditions there (which I couldn’t do on my Apple TV since it’s in another country…).

My Apple TV updated itself to 26.1 at some point in the past few days and now all HomeKit Secure Video history from all cameras is missing and the cameras no longer send motion detection notifications.

W kodzie bety iOS 26 odkryto nową funkcję dla aplikacji Home, nazwaną „Adaptive Temperature”. Informację ujawnił Steve Moser w serwisie X.
Funkcja będzie bazować na ulepszonych możliwościach Apple Maps, które w iOS 26 uczą się codziennych tras użytkownika dzięki funkcjom Preferred Routes i Visited Places.

Na tej podstawie system ma inteligentnie dostosowywać temperaturę w domu, np. obniżając ją, gdy użytkownik opuszcza dom, i podnosząc przed jego powrotem.
Wszystko ma działać lokalnie na urządzeniu, z poszanowaniem prywatności i pełnym szyfrowaniem danych – Apple nie ma do nich dostępu.
Choć funkcja nie została jeszcze oficjalnie zapowiedziana, jej obecność w kodzie sugeruje, że może trafić do przyszłej aktualizacji iOS 26.
Być może Apple odblokuje ją przy okazji premiery HomePada?

I have to assume that the complete lack of changes with the Home app is because they’ve been working on a total rewrite and it just isn’t ready yet, right? And that’s why they’re also retiring the old home architecture, right?

Having spent more than enough “quality” time with #Apple’s #HomeApp over the last few days, I can say that the one feature I most want to see in an upcoming version is simply the ability to duplicate scenes and automations. When you have well over 20 bulbs and switches to control, it is a *huge* waste of time to manually create scenes and automations just to make minor tweaks. Let me duplicate one, tweak it, and be done. I don’t think that’s a lot to ask (he says as a non-programmer).

Mine are now regularly going into “No Response” mode.
Buying cameras that use HomeKit is the biggest tech purchase regret I’ve ever had. Apple should be ashamed by how shabby the experience is, and the Home app’s camera UI didn’t get a single improvement or bug fix in iOS 18 either – it’s just as buggy as ever.
