Is this a HEAD FAKE , or, just another waste of money - OR BOTH?
Reports suggest first OpenAI hardware device will be screen free “humanlike AI companion that lives in the home.” , and it will have a “personality” and being able to proactively learn.... and it can "move".

Maybe it would be useful, instead of big-tech AI / LLM bashing, if those valid concerns could be at least partly focussed by FOSS making training of home-run models to bring edge/offline AI/LLM to homelab, to allow us to learn about the tools and use them how we see fit without being over-reliant on big tech and internet connectivity.
