A lot of this was cleaned up after they replaced our gas meter and made sure everything was hooked up correctly. That’s nice and all, but I really want my street back. Preferably repaved. The potholes are lethal.

I bought the wrong color of grout by accident, but I've been putting off repairing a crack in the shower for weeks now so I just went for it. It was an easier process than I thought it might be, and now my first attempt stands out so I can see it and re-do it in the right color when I need another project.
for now, it should keep water from getting into the wall with any luck.

It's no big, I'm just a Mechanical Home Repair Genius
200 yo house but modernized. This bathroom closet/cupboard backs into a space that is now completely enclosed.
The rear panel popped loose and items were starting to fall through.
(Also, long story short but my main motivation to fix it, the gap was making it too *easy* and thus too *slow* to close the bathroom door. Even a full explanation of this would probs only make sense to Tribe #ADHD)
Tied some bamboo skewers to strings and toggled them through the holes to anchor tension pullers. Now I can glue the joint.

Fixed the valve on the waterline so I could turn off the water so I could fix the toilet that wouldn't stop running. The toilet is now working correctly again and I didn't flood the bathroom or the basement (might have to make sure the valve isn't dripping later). It wasn't a difficult fix (replace the filler) but there were multiple secondary issues making it harder than it should have been. At least it's done now.

I've been so happy with the freezer sensors I got that I got temp+humidity to seed around the house. This tells me when I've got the heating vents seasonally swapped OK. (retrofit 200yo house--v confusing)
I watched @TechConnectify humidifier episode. He basically confirmed what I remember as a kid--a big console humidifiers work better than the electrode or ultrasonic kinds. I'm now putting gallons vs cups into the air daily
And I can track how well the moist air gets into each room. The readings are precise and dense that I can tell when people close their doors for the night bc the humidity drops 5pts
That said, I definitely need a second humidifier and I definitely won't get one. The fan is SO LOUD

The ugly mess of leaves in my yard after last night's snowfall. Usually it snows AFTER the leaves have already fallen.
Not this time.
So now what do you do? Wait for the snow to melt THEN rake? Or take a shovel and just start tossing the snow and leaves to the side?

I feel like I'm channeling my late dad when I'm doing homeowner stuff in the basement. Listening to Rush, pulling nails out of the scrap plywood pile that was there when we moved in, then finishing up with a few plays on Time Machine.
