People most often make Nazi Inversion in reference to Israel. They are taking Jewish responsibility and saying that Jews everywhere are responsible for the actions of a few. They are saying that all Jews, no matter where they live, no matter what languages they speak, what citizenships they hold, or even when in time they exist, are responsible for the actions of other Jews. That is even if they are the victims, or the children of victims, or entirely unrelated, they are all responsible.

There are many terrible human tragedy around the world. The Assad regime killed more Arabs, hundreds of thousands, than Israeli has ever been accused of, and yet it's it "funny" how the example that always comes up is the event where half the entire Jewish population was murdered.
Or they could talk about the many events in Africa, including the Rwandan. But no....
Isn't it "funny" how quick gentiles are to use the blood spilled by my family- and I do mean MY family- to prop up their argument or agenda. How they can't think of ANY other event, or ANY other thing to bring up than Holocaust Inversion.

How about you look at how the #Japanese saw the #Chinese very carefully and contrast that with how the Nazis saw Jews. Because you'd find it's very different.
For all the horrific crimes the Japanese did they never saw the Chinese as "inferior subhumans" that need to be fully exterminated from the earth. In the contrary, they actively sought collaboration with various Chinese factions against the Chinese United Front led by the KMT and CCP. The Japanese saw themselves as the "rightful successor to the mandate of heaven".
A lot of the deaths in that war weren't just caused by the Japanese invaders (which was horribly high enough), but by fatal mistakes of the KMT (see the Yellow River flood of 1938 for example).
Have you seen an organized group of Jews doing anything close to that sort of damage to their own people?

This is another reason why it's not really accurate to compare #Israel to the Nazis (aka #NaziInversion / #HolocaustInversion), besides the fact that such comparisons are not really made in good faith to persuade the Jewish people and only serves to make Jews uncomfortable about their identity.
The #SovietUnion / #USSR is much more apt, especially when you consider the fact that the Israeli state used to be more left-leaning. And of course they both loot stuff so it just makes more sense.
But obviously the Marxist-Leninists in the #Palestine liberation movement will not want to slander their own daddy Stalin, even if comparing Israel to the USSR will make people take their cause much more seriously. :seija_coffee:

The problem with #NaziIversion is that not only is it a dogwhistle, but is not a very holistic take on the situation as well.
Notice how they take one or a few parts of the Holocaust to compare with Israel's actions, and then easily conclude with a #HolocaustInversion. Unfortunately (or rather fortunately that we haven't come close to such a horrible atrocity overall) it's not that simple. A part from a set of parts isn't the whole.
Imagine if I told a Chinese person who is "idling by" that they're like the Japanese soldiers in Nanking for not doing something about their central government's crimes against Xinjiang. They'd (rightly) call me out as horribly wrong and even racist.
That's pretty much what's going on with both well-meaning supporters of #FreePalestine and bad-faith actors trying to turn a national liberation movement to an #antisemitic one. :seija_coffee:
