The site was finally demolished in 2020/21 to make way for the Victoria Mills new build housing. I explored the site right before it was levelled.

#Day147 of #365HappyDays : dinner out in #HolmesChapel with a couple of friends tonight who wanted to treat me to a #steak as thanks for making sure they didn’t die on our paddleboarding trip to Scotland recently. #NobodyDied has become our indicator of a successful day/event/trip/dinner/anything now. No matter how shit something might have been, if nobody died it’s been a good result. 🙂

Really enjoyed this year's #boundarybreezetriathlon near #HolmesChapel, UK. 750m #swim, 24km #cycle, 5km #run. My finishing time won't trouble the current world record, but I was happy with it nonetheless. The mass swim start is a bit of an education. I'd better remember to bring some boxing gloves for my next triathlon...

First swim at #BoundaryWaterPark close to #HolmesChapel. Getting in some prep for the #BoundaryBreezeTriathlon on August 6th. Very nice swim venue, and the weather just about held off too. Swam a total of about 1.4km, testing out a wetsuit vs trisuit only. Difference in times wasn't that big, so i think it's trisuit only for me on the day itself to minimise the T1 transition time. Anyway, good to get a swim there under my belt - I now know what to expect on the day.
