My holiday is nearing a close and I am left with a bittersweet feeling.
I really enjoyed my time here and will cherish the memories I made. However, I am sad it is over. #HolidayBlues

I'll say this again because I think it got lost in the crash:
It's okay to not be into the holidays.
Everyone else's excitement may not be relatable to you; it sure isn't to me. Only the parts I get to share with my grownkids mean anything to me anymore, and that's okay too, but even that involves more logistics than I'd like and feels overwhelming.
So if you're feeling that, you're not alone.

I am so sick & bundled up under blankets trying very hard to get into the xmas spirit with only 10 days to go.
My usual go to's are just not doing the trick & that makes me sad. 😪

Just another shout out to everyone for whom the upcoming #holidays are a solid drag. It can change over the years, but at this point in life the anticipation and logistics bring no joy, so all this build-up is just a reminder that I don't want to do any of this to begin with. We now have an actual plan for how to spend Christmas day with both our children, and that will be nice, but the logistics are just wearying and no fun.
