Oof, just took an Amazon return to Whole Foods, and apparently they've replaced the super-fast system whereby a beleagured employee scans your phone and stows the item, with a new impossibly slow self-service return system involving a kiosk, some kind of bags, and a nearly infinite line. I never got past the line part, because two people took maybe a half hour? and there is Thanksgiving Prep to do?

Our holiday to Cornwall was not without its hiccups. But I only had one mild meltdown.

My parents' car broke down on the way to Cornwall (gearbox) and they said they were going home. I suggested a hire car which is eventually what they did.

Last night I fell out of bed in my sleep and hit my head.

This morning we tried to leave to go home and one of the yellow plastic boards covering an open manhole was not properly positioned. So we ended up one wheel in the manhole.

We managed to push the car out but in the process I heard a muscle pop in my lower back. Bloody fantastic. I need to get on with stuff for the next few weeks!

I'm just hoping I can print ok and carry stuff for fairs.

My parents seem to be nearing the point where they will not come on holiday any more, which is kind of depressing. I think they both have anxiety. If dad can get a car he likes then maybe they will for a few more years.

I took just over 250 photos and will post process them in the next few days.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing the cats.
