His answers are ridiculous, especially complaining that there “were only two countries that responded negatively to the US.”, and that the US is “willing to do business with Canada… that would be good for the US and good for Canada”. As if.

Ik dacht: een weekje later begint het verhaal over #Amsterdam en de #Maccabi-fans eindelijk een beetje nuance te krijgen. Dat destilleerde ik uit de kranten die ik lees, Volkskrant en NRC. Maar dan hoor ik Wopke #Hoekstra in #Buitenhof en denk: o jee, buiten mijn bubbel zit men kennelijk nog steeds vast in het frame van het eerste uur: een pogrom. (Eerlijkheidshalve: Hoekstra gebruikte dat woord niet, maar hij benadrukt wel nog steeds vooral de dingen die men in de coalitie belangrijk vindt.)

Bei den Klimaagenden hat VdL Zuständigkeiten, die bis 2023 bei der SP lagen, erneut an Wopke Hoekstra (V) erteilt. Seine Ernennung war umstritten, weil er früher für Shell arbeitete und nicht gerade als Klimaschützer auffiel. Das Climate Action Network hat seine Wiederernennung heute aber positiv bewertet, vor allem, weil er nun auch für Besteuerung zuständig sein soll (Stichwort Klimasteuern).
Dass die designierte Vizepräsidentin für eine "saubere Transformation" Teresa Ribera (S) ist, programmiert Streitigkeiten zwischen den beiden wohl vor – sie war zuletzt in Spanien Ministerin für grünen Wandel.
