    Stuttgart bekommt einen Supercomputer der Extraklasse! Hunter am Höchstleistungsrechenzentrum (HLRS) ist 2025 fast doppelt so schnell wie sein Vorgänger – und verbraucht dabei 80 % weniger Strom.

    Am Mi, 08.10. um 17 Uhr gewährt Dr. Ralf Schneider einen Blick hinter die Kulissen, bevor Prof. Dr. Michael Resch über die Zukunft des Höchstleistungsrechnens spricht und erklärt, was uns mit den größten Computern der Welt erwartet.

  3. Hier entsteht die #KI der Zukunft! BM Cem Özdemir besuchte heute das AI Center in #Tübingen & das Höchstleistungsrechenzentrum #Stuttgart (#HLRS) – die beiden Standorte des #CyberValley, eines der größten KI-Forschungszentren Europas!

    Das BMBF fördert KI mit gut 400 Mio. Euro pro Jahr. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf Forschung, Fachkräften/Kompetenzen, Daten- & Rechnerinfrastrukturen sowie Transfer. Für die KI-Kompetenzzentren investiert das BMBF gemeinsam mit den Sitzländern 120 Mio. Euro pro Jahr.

  4. The Gauss Centre for Supercomputing (GCS) is now accepting applications for GCS large-scale projects covering the period from Mai 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026.

    Interested researchers at German universities and publicly funded German research institutions can apply to gain access to GCS’ leading HPC systems, including SuperMUC-NG at the LRZ.

    Digitalwüste Deutschland. Michael Resch, Direktor des Höchstleistungsrechenzentrums in Stuttgart, beschäftigt sich in seinem neuen Buch mit der Digitalisierung in Deutschland. Er macht deutlich, an welchen Stellen Handlungsbedarf besteht und wie Deutschland in der Digitalisierung endlich voran kommen kann.
