HKU Oudenoord, Utrecht, maandag 26 mei om 12:00 CEST
Coming Monday the 26th of May, HKU4Palestine will organise a sit-in in the Atrium of Oudenoord.
We do this to urge the CVB (College Van Bestuur) to finally meet our demands, listed below.
Despite our numerous attempts to convince the CVB of the importance of these demands, after more than a year, the CVB has been incapable of meeting these demands and breaking ties with Israel.
Therefore, we will inform the CVB that our demands have not changed.
Please join our sit-in, attend our workshops and join forces. HKU students and staff, let’s finally mobilize!
Our demands:
• The HKU must write a statement that clearly rejects the genocide, disproportionate violence, and impending ethnic cleansing committed by Israel
• The HKU must sever ties with Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design
• The HKU must investigate any connections with Israeli institutions, companies and investors, making these public, and severing these ties

Drawing on pedagogical research and VR-based archaeology teaching, Prof. Cobb shared how immersive technologies can boost students’ engagement, enhance spatial and visual learning, and simulate fieldwork experiences—especially through 3D reconstructions of ancient sites.
Participants discussed VR’s educational value, including its potential across disciplines, and had the chance to try out VR headsets in action. @Life_is @Orkan_der_rechtspflege In den #HKÜ -Fällen wird das Kind vom bisherigen gemeinsamen Lebensmittelpunkt in ein anderes Land verbracht, wo weder Familiengericht noch soziale Hilfesysteme mit der Familie befasst waren. Bis zur Stellung des HKÜ-Antrags beim Familiengericht ist die Familie daher komplett außerhalb der Wahrnehmung staatlicher Stellen. Ziel des HKÜ-Verfahrens ist daher die - möglichst schnelle - Rückführung des Kindes in das Land, wo die Familie bis dahin gemeinsam gelegt hat, damit dort die zuständigen Familiengerichte mit der Unterstützung des dortigen Hilfesystems den Konflikt regeln können.

Solidarität oder sogar Mitleid mit dem Kindesentführer? Unvorstellbar, oder?
Wenige Verfahren werden öffentlich so emotional diskutiert und gleichzeitig so wenig verstanden wie „HKÜ“-Verfahren (HKÜ = Haager Kindesentführungsübereinkommen).
Das HKÜ greift, wenn ein Elternteil ein gemeinsames Kind ohne Zustimmung des anderen ins Ausland schafft oder es dort zurückhält.
Wenn das Sorgerecht eines Elternteils derart verletzt ist, kann eine Rückführung bis zur Klärung der Angelegenheit angeordnet werden. Oft sucht dann ausgerechnet der entführende Elternteil Hilfe bei der Presse. Die springt gern auf die sehr emotionalen Szenen an, die sich dann abspielen und ergreift oft Partei - für den entführenden Elternteil. So geht unter, wer im Unrecht ist und was das für das Kind und für den zweiten Elternteil bedeutet.
In Episode 9 unseres Video-Podcast "Samt vs. Seide" versuchen Steffi Beyrich, der @Orkan_der_rechtspflege und ich, die Dinge ein bisschen zu ordnen. Denn das Verfahren ist auch so schon dramatisch genug, denn gerade im Interesse der betroffenen Kinder muss alles möglichst schnell gehen.
