Polish typography history (and Polish design history) in 2 pictures. Both inscriptions come from Polish buses, Jelcz. The first letter designs (those descending downwards) were created in the 1950s, while the second ones were introduced in the 1970s. The difference in creativity is clearly evident.
The 50s design is simply beautiful, but I was always wondering what on earth happened with the 70s version.

This is such a fantastic example of Czech design. I absolutely love the super clear map design of the Krkonoš region with those signs created by Kamil Vladislav Muttich. The more I observe and learn about Czech design, the more intrigued and interested I become - there are so many great things to discover here.
