If I Could Step Into One Moment in History… I Know Exactly Where I’d Go. 🇮🇳
If you could go back and witness any historical event, which one would you pick?
If I could go back and witness any historical event, I wouldn’t choose a famous battle.
I wouldn’t choose a royal coronation.
I’d choose a moment when India was deciding what kind of country it wanted to become.
I would want to witness the making of the Indian Constitution.
Not just to see the people sitting in that historic Assembly, but to listen to their discussions.
What were they worried about?
What kind of India did they imagine?
How did they think about equality, freedom, justice, democracy and the rights of ordinary people?
Today, we often read the Constitution as a book or study it for an examination.
But imagine being there when those ideas were being debated and turned into the foundation of a new nation.
I’d want to sit quietly in that room and listen.
Because history isn’t only about what happened.
It’s also about the choices people made when the future was still uncertain.
And perhaps the most interesting question would be:
If they could see India today, what would they think we did right—and what would they ask us to change? 🇮🇳
💭 If you could witness one moment from history with your own eyes, which one would you choose?Rate this:

Even if they ban the books, or tried to wipe out the history, people will always remember the ugliness and bitterness that they have seen or have lived…
Just remember that hiding your head under the sand does not wipe out what have been done.
Books can be banned, but the memory and words are always going to be preserved in the head …
