  1. And one last #KPopMonday #HistoricalConcepts with an arty twist.

Heize's Happen MV is inspired by Edward Hopper's paintings circa 1943 - 1961. A gorgeous song and a beautiful MV. She's so cool.

The most obvious reference is of course to his famous work Nighthawks, which happens at 1:29.

There's a great side by side and a list of the other works referenced on Reddit @ reddit.com/r/kpoppers/comments

  2. How about a 2 for 1 deal on #KPopMonday #HistoricalConcepts.

Both these classics were shot at Yongin Daejanggeum Park, an outdoor film set owned by MBC and located in Gyeonggi province.

  3. Yay! It's #KPopMonday. The theme this week is #HistoricalConcepts. So, the first thing that comes to mind is Seo Taiji's Sogyeokdong (소격동) which is on one hand a love-story set in his childhood neighbourhood, but is also about life under military dictatorship in South Korea in the late 1970s and early 80s and the democracy movement.

There are two versions that were released sequentially - IU's version first:
